Last Day of Work Before Pokemon GO Fest Chicago, 2019!!!

Good Morning, All!
The Hype is Real, For POKEMON GO FEST!!!!

Today is my last work day before I head up to Chicago.  I just received a text from my manager asking if I was not coming in to work tomorrow, which is the day she ok'd me off as soon as I knew I had tickets, and she had forgotten she gave me the go ahead to be able to take off.  That made me literally shake my head, but, did not surprise me. I am so excited to be able to go and hope that everyone who gets to go has an amazing experience.  Pokemon GO has helped me get through a lot, meet a lot of people, and helped me build more confidence in myself.  I am a proud player who enjoys using the Game as an extra form of exercise and also as a way for me to be more social, helping to combat my horrible social anxiety.  I have had both good and bad experiences while playing, but more have been good.  This trip will also be my first official summer vacation, since I have never taken one that was not for a hurricane evacuation.  It is time for a break from my home life, family, and usual reality to have an enjoyable time making new memories.  I am hoping to meet a lot of people while in Chicago and maybe even run into some of my "in-game" friends from around the world.

"GO FEST CHICAGO" Map? Let's Hope So!!!

This is the "possible" map for the set up for the Chicago that was leaked on twitter.  It is amazing to see all that will be offered to participating trainers who are going.  I am going to be brave and head to the battle arena, to have some fun with PVP. I am going to try and compete as many times as allowed, head to the trading post to meet new trainers who want to trade, and compete in any contests that are going on.  Participation and socialization are my goals for the 10 hours that I will be playing at GO fest.   Meeting up with locals from where I am from that are all going on the same day as I am, Friday the 14th, and meeting new people, will be exciting!  This will be a new experience for a lot of people who have never been to a GO Fest or even to the city of Chicago, including myself.

Have Fun, Stay Safe, and "GO" Catch 'Em All!!!
